Supports and assists with the coordination of Human Resources (HR) for the assigned Sector of SCIS; implements and acts to ensure compliance with government regulations and company HR policies; manages employee relations and benefits processes and performs initial inquiries in HR matters; as well as any additional generalist tasks in the HR function.

1. Supports the HR Manager in providing oversight of HR policies and procedures within
the assigned Sector and supporting Sector management in achieving operations goals
through effective HR practices.
2. Supports HR Manager in HR efforts including orientation for new staff members,
maintaining compliance of personnel files, company policies and government
requirements, and employee relations.
3. Assists with audits of HR practices and files annually or more frequently as deemed
necessary; monitors applicant logs and ensures appropriate selection criteria are
established for each open position.
4. Assists HR Manager in keeping management and staff advised of new regulations and
company policies related to human resources in a timely manner.
5. May participate in unemployment, wage/hour, and EEO hearings; may assist in
preparations of data for OFCCP audits and Affirmative Action Plans.
6. Advises employees and management on the interpretation of human resources policies,
programs, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; assists management in
performance management, compensation programs, and regarding general human
resources issues. Provides training on related issues, as required.
7. Assists the HR Manager with oversight of all benefits for assigned locations, including
changing positions, changing sites, new hires, LOA, terminations, and new client
8. Assists the HR Manager with oversight of Worker’s Compensation claims and OSHA
reporting, in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
9. Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned Sector.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Bachelor’s Degree in an HR-related field preferred, or Associate’s Degree and two or more years of progressively responsible HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
