Job Description

SCIS Investigations directly supports national security, with a focus on performing background investigations on behalf of government clients. Training Instructors enhance the competencies of employees by designing and conducting training programs in support of work on the NBIB contract. As a Training Instructor, you will be responsible for developing curriculum and learning materials for use throughout various phases of training platforms. This includes virtual instruction, classroom instruction, as well as remedial assistance. Our Training Instructors provide context while creating a compelling and interactive learning environment.
 

Job Requirements

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and facilitate approved training curriculum using Adult Learning delivery methods while effectively managing class time
  • Provide subject matter expertise to develop training materials including guides, presentations, and other learning tools as required
  • Administer and grade required assessments
  • Conduct refresher trainings as needed
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management regarding the various aspects of training progression

Job Requirements:

  • U. S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Current (within the last 2 years) SSBI or active clearance
  • Experience on or currently working some aspect of the NBIB contract; investigative experience required
  • Remote applicants from around the lower 48 states are open to apply with the expectation of at least 50% travel time from their local areas to other locations around the country (Herndon, VA or other identified locations for training)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key instructional design concepts, practices, and adult learning principles
  • Classroom training experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to clearly and creatively present learning materials and articulate key concepts in a results oriented culture
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments occurring simultaneously and as priorities change
  • Open to a flexible work schedule to include periods of overtime
  • Continually improve your presentation skillsets
  • Comfortable in Microsoft Office Suite
