Independent Contractor Openings

Independent Contractors (IC) partner with SCIS conducting background investigations on an as-needed basis and no hours are guaranteed. To be considered for IC positions, candidates must have at least 12 months’ experience conducting background investigations on behalf of the National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB)/Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), currently work on the DCSA contract or left employment on the NBIB/DCSA contract within the last 12 months, and successfully completed a background investigator training course. Work is available across the United States, as well as in Puerto Rico and Guam.
